Introduction of New Missionaries. General Considerations

This article presents some general considerations on the introduction of new missionaries. The point of departure is a short reflection on mission, based in the mystery of the incarnation. The role of missionaries has changed since Vatican II, but until today the example and mission of Jesus Christ are normative for understanding the call to mission. The SVD offered in the 13th General Chapter of 1988 the concept of "passing over," which is helpful to understand the process from their own to another culture through which missionaries have to go. The relation of missionaries and cultures and the missiological concept of inculturation are important in this context. For the introduction of new missionaries, programs of introduction have also to consider the importance of formation for inculturation



Dieser Artikel bietet einige allgemeine Überlegungen zum Thema "Einführung von Neumissionaren". Der Ausgangspunkt ist eine kurze Reflexion über Mission, die mit dem Geheimnis der Inkarnation beginnt. Auch wenn die Rolle von Missionaren sich seit dem 2. Vatikanischen Konzil verändert hat, gelten bis heute die Person und Mission Jesu Christi als Maßstab für ein Verständnis der Berufung zur Mission. Das 13. SVD-Generalkapitel bot den Begriff des "Hinübergehens" (passing over) an, der hilfreich ist, um den Prozeß von der eigenen zu einer anderen Kultur, den ein Missionar zu durchlaufen hat, zu verstehen. Die Beziehungen von Missionar und Kultur und der missiologische Begriff der Inkulturation sind in diesem Zusammenhang wichtig. Bei der Einführung von Neumissionaren müssen Programme auch das Thema Inkulturation berücksichtigen.



Este artículo ofrece algunas reflexiones generales sobre el tema "introducción de los neomisioneros". El punto de partida es una breve reflexión sobre la misión, que comienza con el misterio de la Encarnación. Si bien el rol de los misioneros ha cambiado desde el Concilio Vaticano II, hasta hoy la persona y la misión de Jesucristo son los parámetros para una comprensión del llamado a la misión. El XIII Capítulo General SVD ofreció el concepto del "éxodo" (passing over) que ayuda a entender el camino de la cultura propia a otra, que un misionero tiene que recorrer. En este contexto son importantes las relaciones entre misionero y cultura y el concepto misionológico de inculturación. Al introducir a los neomi-sioneros, los programas deben incluir el tema de la inculturación.
