The roles played by the various categories of people change along with the social structure and economic development. Following R. Reich's model of social stratification, the author analyzes the role of a missionary in a globalizing world. The specific characteristics of a missionary are stressed, placing him above any model, and emphasizing his role as a witness of Christ in diverse social dimensions. Finally, the author signalizes challenges which a missionary must face in the context of encroaching relativism and fundamentalism. The missionary vocation remains unchanged, however, and its successful realization depends on the continuous adjustment to changing social conditions.
Die Stellung verschiedener Gruppen ändert sich mit der Sozialstruktur und der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung. Der Autor analysiert die Rolle des Missionars in der globalisierten Welt anhand von R. Reichs Modell der sozialen Schichtungen. Er hebt die spezifischen Charakteristika des Missionars hervor, die ihn über jedes Modell stellen, und betont seine Rolle als Zeuge Christi in unterschiedlichen sozialen Dimensionen. Abschließend zeigt der Autor die Herausforderungen auf, denen ein Missionar sich im Kontext zunehmenden Relativismus und Fundamentalismus stellen muß. Dennoch bleibt die missionarische Berufung unverändert, und ihre erfolgreiche Verwirklichung hängt von der ständigen Anpassung an wechselnde soziale Bedingungen ab.
La importancia de distintos grupos humanos depende de la estructura social y de su desarrollo económico. El autor analiza el rol del misionero en el mundo globalizado usando el modelo de capas sociales de R. Reich. Destaca las características específicas del misionero que lo ponen encima de cualquier modelo y acentúa su rol como testigo de Cristo en diversas dimensiones sociales. Finalmente el autor señala los retos que tiene que enfrentar el misionero en el contexto de un relativismo y fundamentalismo crecientes. A pesar de esto su vocación misionera no cambia, y su realización exitosa depende de la adaptación permanente a las condiciones sociales cambiantes.
