Jesus, Konfuzius und John Lennon. Jesus in der chinesischen Literatur des 20. Jahrhunderts

Christliche Stoffe, Gestalten und Motive sind auch in der chinesischen Literatur des 20. Jahrhunderts rezipiert worden, insbesondere in der Literatur der 1920er und 1930er sowie der 1980er und 1990er Jahre. Eine besondere Faszination auf chinesische Schriftsteller übten dabei offenbar die Person und die Passion Jesu aus. Einige prägnante Beispiele für die literarische Gestaltung der Jesus-Figur, namentlich bei Lu Xun (1881-1936), Xu Zhimo (1896-1931), Ai Qing (1910-1996), Lü Yuan (geb. 1922), Wang Meng (geb. 1934) und Sha Yexin (geb. 1939), werden in dem vorliegenden Beitrag vorgestellt und unter der Fragestellung untersucht, ob Jesus, ähnlich wie in der modernen Literatur des Westens (Oscar Wilde, Thomas Mann), den Dichtern als Identifikationsfigur dient. Es wird die These aufgestellt, dass die Gestalt Jesu als Verkörperung des Leidens anscheinend eine Leerstelle in der chinesischen Literatur besetzt.



Christian themes, figures and motifs have also been taken up in the Chinese literature of the 20th century, especially the literature of the nineteen twenties and thirties and the nineteen eighties and nineties. Evidently the person and the passion of Jesus in particular have fascinated Chinese writers. This contribution presents a number of examples of a literary representation of the Jesus figure, mainly in the works of Lu Xun (1881-1936), Xu Zhimo (1896-1931), Ai Qing (1910-1966), Lü Yuan (b. 1922), Wang Meng (b. 1934) and Sha Yexin (b. 1939), and examines them in order to discover whether Jesus, as in modern Western literature (Oscar Wilde, Thomas Mann), serves as an identification figure for the poet. The author advances the thesis that the figure of Jesus as a personification of suffering apparently fills an empty place in Chinese literature.



Asuntos, personajes y motivos cristianos fueron integrados también en la literatura china del siglo 20, especialmente en los años 1920 y 1930 como también en los años 1980 y 1990. La persona y la pasión de Jesús ejercieron una fascinación marcada sobre los escritores chinos. En este artículo se presentan algunos ejemplos llamativos de la configuración de Jesús, particularmente en Lu Xun (1881-1936), Xu Zhimo (1896-1931), Ai Qing (1910-1966), Lü Yuan (nac. 1922), Wang Meng (nac. 1934), y Sha Yexin (nac. 1939). Se pregunta si Jesús sirve de personaje de identificación para los poetas, como en la literatura occidental moderna (Oscar Wilde, Thomas Mann). Se afirma que la persona de Jesús como encarnación del sufrimiento ocupa aparentemente un vacío en la literatura china.
