Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden einige hervorstechende Gesichtspunkte vorgestellt in Bezug auf die Rolle, die Missionsinstitute heute inmitten von weltweitem Wandel und Kirchenwachstum spielen müssen.
The present article exposes varied salient points with regard to the role missionary institutes of today have to play in the midst of global changes and church growth. It seeks to emphasize two points: firstly, that missionary institutes should take to heart their role as prophets, that is, forming righteous communities, and secondly, that the way missionary institutes behave and progress defines the future of the church. To concretize his reflections, the author evaluates how his congregation, the CICM, both on the level of a missionary institute and of a group of missionaries working in Senegal, responds to the criteria he proposes.
Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden einige hervorstechende Gesichtspunkte vorgestellt in Bezug auf die Rolle, die Missionsinstitute heute inmitten von weltweitem Wandel und Kirchenwachstum spielen müssen. Zwei Dinge werden besonders betont: zum einen sollten Missionsinstitute sich ihrer prophetischen Rolle bewusst sein, indem sie glaubwürdige Gemeinschaften bilden, und zum anderen beherzigen, dass die Art und Weise, wie sie sich verhalten und handeln, die Zukunft der Kirche bestimmt. Um seine Überlegungen zu konkretisieren, wertet der Autor aus, wie seine Kongregation, die Scheutvelder Missionare, sowohl als Ganze wie auch als Gruppe von Missionaren, die im Senegal tätig sind, den Kriterien, die er vorschlägt, entspricht.
En este artículo se presentan algunos puntos de vista salientes en cuanto al rol que los institutos misioneros tienen que desempeñar hoy en medio del cambio global y del crecimiento de la Iglesia. Se destacan dos cosas: por un lado, los institutos misioneros deben ser conscientes de su rol profético formando comunidades fidedignas; por el otro lado deben tomar a pecho que su comportamiento y su modo de actuar repercute en el futuro de la Iglesia. Para concretar sus reflexiones el autor aprovecha el modo como su congregación, los misioneros de Scheutveld, tanto en su totalidad como en los grupos que trabajan en el Senegal, realizan los criterios que propone.
