Seit zwei Jahrzehnten existiert eine katholische Vereinigung von Missionswissenschaftlern, die Gründungskonferenz fand im Jahr 2000 in Rom statt. Die Konferenzen alle vier Jahre stellten wichtige missiologische Themen in den Mittelpunkt wie die Missionswissenschaft selbst, Diversität in Forschung und Erziehung, die Evangelisierung in der Vielfalt von Kulturen, das christliche Leben, Mission „inter gentes“ sowie das Zeugnis in einer multireligiösen Welt. Der Artikel beschreibt die institutionelle Entwicklung der Vereinigung und benennt einige Herausforderungen.
Two decades ago a Catholic association of missiologists came into being; its founding conference took place in Rome in 2000. Every four years, their conferences concentrate on important missiological topics like missiology itself, the diversity in research and education, the evangelization in the context of multiple cultures, Christian ways of life, mission inter gentes, and the witness in a multi-religious world. The article describes the institutional development of the association and points towards different challenges for the future.
Desde hace dos décadas existe una asociación católica de misionólogos y misionólogas que se fundó formalmente en su primera conferencia en el año 2000 en Roma. Las conferencias cada cuatro años plantean temas importantes de la misionología, como es la propia misionología como tal, la diversidad de investigación y formación, la evangelización en el contexto del pluralismo cultural, la vida cristiana, la misión inter gentes así como el testimonio en un mundo multirreligioso. El artículo describe el desarrollo institucional de la asociación así como algunos de sus desafíos.
Il y a vingt ans naissait une association de missiologues catholiques dont la conférence fondatrice eut lieu à Rome en 2000. Tous les quatre ans, leurs conférences traitent de thèmes missiologiques importants tels que la missiologie elle-même, la diversité dans la recherche et l’éducation, l’évangélisation dans un contexte multiculturel, les modes de vie chrétiens, la mission inter gentes, et le témoignage dans un monde plurireligieux. L’article décrit le développement institutionnel de l’association et indique différents défis pour l’avenir.
