Das letzte Heft von Verbum SVD 2002 hat im Unterschied zu den übrigen drei Heften dieses Jahres kein Schwerpunktthema. Wir bieten verschiedene Artikel, die sich vor allem mit praktischen Fragen der Missionsarbeit beschäftigen.

P. Mantovani skizziert verschiedene kulturelle Modelle, die benutzt werden, um die Beziehung zu Gott außerhalb und innerhalb der biblischen Tradition zu beschreiben. Er zeigt die radikalen Änderungen auf, die durch das Zweite Vatikanum ausgelöst wurden. Er ist der Meinung, daß der Begriff Mission neben dem Begriff der Religion notwendig ist, um den Beziehungen des Christentums zu den Religionen gerecht zu werden.

P. Pawlik analysiert die Rolle des Missionars in einer globalisierten Welt anhand von R. Reichs Modell der sozialen Schichtungen. Er arbeitet spezifische Charakteristika des Missionars heraus.

Erzbischof Menamparampil SDB geht es um den Dialog zwischen den Kulturen und Religionen. Hier hat das Evangelium Wertvolles zu bieten, indem es dafür sorgt, daß aus jeder Veränderung eine Ver-wandlung zum Besseren wird.

P. Poruthur berichtet über Überlegungen zum Missionsverständnis, wie es Praktiker sehen. Er dokumentiert die Versammlung der Provinziale und Regionale der ASPAC-Zone der SVD. Hier wurde über die konkrete Umsetzung des Schlußdokuments des XV. SVD-Generalkapitels beraten.

P. Szyszka liefert interessante Überlegungen zur Kultur und Sprache der Aymara im Andenhochland. Er bringt aufschlußreiche Beobachtungen aus der Geschichte der Verkündigung des Evangeliums unter den Aymara, geht aber auch auf die gegenwärtige Situation ein.

Verschiedene andere Beiträge runden dieses vierte Heft ab. Wir möchten diese Gelegenheit nutzen, um nochmals P. Bernhard Baier aus Córdoba (Argentinien) für seine wertvolle Hilfe bei der Übersetzung der Abstracts ins Spanische zu danken.


This last issue of Verbum SVD 2002 is not, like the other three, focussed on one specific theme. We present various articles dealing mainly with practical questions of missionary work.

Fr. Mantovani sketches different cultural patterns which are used to express the relationship to God outside and within the biblical tradition and shows the radical changes caused by Vatican II. He argues that, beside the concept of religion, the concept of mission is necessary to do justice to the relationship between Christianity and the other religions.

Fr. Pawlik analyses the role of the missionary in a globalizing world, using R. Reich's model of social stratification, and describes specific characteristics of a missionary.

Archbishop Menamparampil SDB contributes to the important subject of dialogue between cultures and religions, an area in which the Gospel has something valuable to offer. The aim is to make sure that every transformation is an "ennobling transfiguration."

Fr. Poruthur reports on reflections on the understanding of mission by practitioners. He documents the assembly of the Provincials and Regionals of the SVD ASPAC zone, which discussed the concrete implementation of the final document of the XV. General Chapter.

Fr. Szyszka offers interesting reflections on the culture and language of the Aymara of the Titicaca region, presenting relevant observations from the history of evangelization among them, but also including the present-day situation.

A number of additional contributions complete this fourth issue.
